Gasket/seal replacement on Gearbox change..

  330i. E30 Touring.
Right, so I'm changing my gearbox, as per benp's guide.

Do I need to change the gasket between the cat and the centre section?

Also, the plenum was sealed with some sort of black rubber.. What's the score? Do I need to replace the sealant, or will the old stuff still be good?

Cheers guys..

the gasket between cat and center section is a pressed metal gasket, if it's ok re-use it. Personally i'd stick some paste in there either way.

Plenum to lower inlet should have a metal gasket. They're about £6, get a new one from renault. where the plenum sits on the top of the engine there's a teardrop shaped rubber that very often causes an airleak, so get a nice new one.
