clips snapped, common problem ive had to fix loads, i tried superglue and it worked for a bit but then came off again, what i do now is...

you will see at the back of the gaitor at the bottom plastic bit (bit closest to back of the car) there is a little rectangle plastic bit sticking down where the clip has snapped off, get a screw and screw it in there to act as a clip and it will sit back in fine, only problem is i cant get mine back out now lol

Yup it's French build quality for ya - or lack of :(

The gaitors are about £4 from Renault incase you're wondering

£6 or so from Renault when you refit it if done prperly won't be an issue unless your battom mount allowed to wear to much.

Dont try to glue it or silicone it, it tried to stick mine and got glue on the console which dont look pretty, luckily I got it off.
If you stuff the whole square plastic thing at the bottom of the gaiter in the hole it looks fine, hope that helps.

I've just got a new one, if the back clips are broken it will never hold in place.. they are £5.02 and part number is 82 00 071 449

i just put it back in place and wedged a screw between the gaitor and the plastic to hold it in place.. has worked for 5 months now !! :p
