gear box?

folks when selecting first gear its extremly chuggy about half way taking the clutch out. Its been fine lately and all of a sudden its all jumpy ive let other people drive to see if its just me and it isnt. The thing is ive put an after market diverter valve/dump valve and an K&N 57i on, will reno say that the warrenty is now invalid on the gearbox if it needs replaced as the gearbox is connected to the engine? When I had the car in for a service they said nothing about the K&N anyone any advice? cheers!

They're only bolt on mods so shouldn't be an issue to the gearbox warranty, but to be on the safe side I'd remove them and take it back to Renault!
