How do i take my gear knob off without breaking it??

on the mk2 ph2 they are glued /screwed in tight .

twist to loosen the glue then straight up , if you dont need it , i'd cut away

heat it up hair dryer works takes a while though

i stuck a couple of screwdrivers up the plastic covering and peeled it back.
then there is a little white plastic thing which i twisted off with a spanner thing.
and thats it.
