Clio 1.5 dci MK2
Hi all. Yesterday, my Clio gearstick became loose and only a couple of gears could be selected. I called out the AA and they found that a gear linkage cable had popped out
They reconnected it and advised I take it to a garage, which I did. However, the garage has said that they contacted 3 different suppliers and all of them said that these cables are only supplied as an assembly with the gear lever, and that only Renault had stock. They said it would be £1200 for the part.
This is a MK2 Clio 1.5 DCI. The garage said the part number is 8200905264. The thing is, there seems to be a few different cable part numbers that are used on 8200905264, suggesting that the cables must detach.
Having said that, I haven't really got any idea.
Does anyone have any experience with this part who can help? Would be very much appreciated
