Gear selection problem

hi, my wife has a 1.4 Dymanique 05 plate which has been great. Until now....there's a problem when selecting gears, engages first gear ok then after that its reluctant to go into second, third and so on. Best described as lever only travels half distance then locks out like it's coming against a stop of sorts. No grinding noises as the gears aren't in mesh. Somtimes if you let revs drop off and dip clutch again it does engage, but more often than not there's this problem. Just occured out of blue no warning, prior to this gear changes were really precise and easy to make. Anyone had similar clutch or gbox problems? Thanks in advance, zipin. great site by the way

Changing up the box seems ok today but down from 3rd to 2nd is the main problem. There's a little bit of play on the clutch cable although not excessive. How is the clutch cable adjusted? I had a quick look and there doesn't seem the usual threaded end with adjuster nuts on the end of cable where it joins clutch lever, is the adjustment done on the pedal?

This is now fixed, took to garage bought I from (not a Renualt) who decided to take to a Renault dealership instead. Anyway they reckon around this plate 05, wrong grade gbox oil was used so Its been drained and replaced with new stuff. I was sceptical about oil being able to cause such a problem, but to be fair this seems to have solved the problems. Done +200 miles since so fingers crossed. Also done under warranty. Hope this helps someone else.
