Says it all.. Square bearings everywhere!

What do people reckon

My mate has another bust box with an intact housing what's the chances my box with a new housing is repairable?

Or do I just buy a second hand working box and have it reconditioned?

I've managed to crack my casing apart about an inch but it won't come apart any more than this :-/ any suggestions on how to split it to have a look inside and see how the damage is?

Any advice is much appreciated !!

As below..

It obviously will still split but I can't see the point.

If you want to split it out of curiosity then remove the 5th gear end cap, selector and the gears remove the casing bolts and it will waggle off. Theres a lot more to it but only if you want to reassemble afterwards.
