Shouldn't be a problem. I think they're both JB3 jobbies but they may have slightly different ratios. Wouldn't cause too much of a problem though as it's a DCI not just a plain diesel so it'll rev about the same as a petrol anyway.
The 100 uses the sam box as the 172/182 (jc5) so any one of them will fit but the ratios are hugly different.
Best find a gearbx from a 80dci or 100dci 9both use the JC5. The 65dci uses the jc3 box
well...had a crash, hit a wall on the underside of the clio!
insurance have said that it might be worth repairing it, if the gearbox is ok. ther having a look at it, but theyve said if they take it apart n find the gearbox is fooked theres no point repairing it.
if the gearbox is ok, think the repair will be 5k ish.
I don't mean to be harsh but if your paying yourself I'd forget it better buy a new car and break yours.
If insurance are paying ask them for a write off value you can but a 172 conversion kit for £1.5k all suspension etc included then buy the panels from a breakers for much less then you'll have 172 engine instead of the dci.
