Gearbox leak with pics

Found gearbox oil on the drive, so when having a look underneath I moved what i think was the linkage to find this part weeping, circled red in the pic.

Whats the best fix for this?

Thanks for the replies chaps. Good to know it's normal lol

Box was filled last week but i'll check today to see how much I can put in.

If I jack up one side to overfill the box will this cause any problems?

Why would you want to do that? you will be suprised at how little oil actually comes out,it looks alot but it isn't.

I vaguley remember some gearbox specialist round my way mention the box was overfilled, obviously talking sh!te lol

Was just to make sure It didn't ever run dry I guess, but it's good to know it's nothing major

Good to know mate mines on 77k and gets abit of abuse, shame gearbox oil has to smell like what it seems to be cat piss lol

i thought you could overfill it if you filled it through the breather pipe. i know you're not supposed to but people have done.

The oil stains around there look a black. You can't guarantee what was put in the last few years so it's worth changing the gear oil and at least you will know it is at the correct level. Cost you about £35.

Thanks for the tip, had the oil out and some fresh put in a few weeks ago with some of castrol's finest. Stuff stinks though.
