Gearbox leaking oil!!

renault are tw*ts!!

this will be number 3 in 18months fom new!!

and its outta waranty cos i had i serviced somewhere else (stuipidly!! but my dealer was soo crap i didnt want to take it back)

Any ideas?

ok spoke to a mate the new one was fitted in april would there be a warranty on the replaced part?

You might not get a warranty repair as you dont get warranty on a warranty repair. If a vehicle is repaired during the warranty period, then the repair is only valid for the remainder of the original warranty period, not another 12 months. As you have taken your vehicle outside the Renault network for service/repair, your warranty is void anyway.

Soz to be the bearer of bad news.

Where is the gearbox leaking oil anyway? Selector shaft or n/s inner driveshaft boot ? These are the common sources of leaks.

Just because you took it else where doesnt mean you forefiet your warranty. As long as OE parts were fitted and you can back it up with invoices you should be OK.

Check with Trading Standards.

Just take it to another Renault garage and act dumb!!!! There must be more than 1 renalut dearler daaaaaarn saaaarrrrrrrrrfffff!!!!!!!

Update:

The diff housing is cracked and the diff bearing is pressed in!!!

so basically its f**ked

In renault garage now awaiting inspection hopefully they will fix it for free!!
