Gearbox linkage gaitor

Car  Black 182 FF
Just had my tracking done today and when I was underneath the car I noticed there was oil coming from a split gaitor where the gear linkage goes into the gearbox. Does anyone know exactly what this is called, how much it costs and what is involved in repairing it?

Erm not sure, think it's round but I'll have to get under and have a look. Would have done it today but the weathers been crap.

Not the best photo but it's all I could manage yesterday:

The gaitor in question is to the right on that photo, at thttp://s647.photobucket.com/albums/uu194/perryqhill/?action=view&current=Photo0100.jpghe end of the linkage as it goes into the box.

Thats normal mate, its the square rubber gaitor on it that leaks abit, nothing t worry about,

It's actually come off though, think it's split hence I want to replace it.

I've done a bit of searching and you're right though - everyone just seems to accept they do leak a bit and to keep and eye on them.

I've tried looking it up on dialogys for you but I don't know the gearbox number so the search fails. I'd just ask Renault parts for a rubber grommit for the link into the gearbox. That should do it. Pretty sure they'll be standard across the range.

Part number is 8200136186, ive just had to order one and it cost me £13.77 (squared gaitor).
