Gearbox metal end plate/cover

Noticed mine is white, all the other phase 1 box,s ive seen have been black, What do you reckon, a bit of home customising or could it be a replacement box maybe,

IMO, more like a replacement end cap due to the old one rotting out.

I've seen white casings on ph1 JC5's before to. Check the code if you're worried but it's nothing to worry about really.
