can you guys tell me what grade of gearbox oil i need for my 172 cup also where in gods name can i get a haynes manual

You can't get the manual for 172/172 cup/182's.

The one for the Mk2 Ph2-> clio covers quite a few things, barring engine obviously. Gearbox oil is 75w80.

The normal haynes manaul cover for 99% of the stuf you'd ever need to know.

I would put fully synthetic in if you can afford to.

You want EP75w80, fully synth way give some benefit.

I've just put in 75w90 and can say the gearchanges feel so much more smoother.

Yeh 75w90 would be fine too, shouldn't make any major difference really between the two.
