gearbox overhaul????

anyone know how hard it is to fetch the gearbox off a mk 1 172? what else needs to be removed in order to fetch her out, cheers.

Its really not that hard. Subframe needs to be lowered though. everything else is straight forward.
Did mine a year ago btw.

I reckon taking it out would be easy, it's putting back in or "bringing" it back in that would be hard.

I found getting it back in the bay easier than out..

Lining it up and getting it tightened up took a while though..

just became a full member, in the guide he takes the whole engine out, i dont wanna do that, lol . just the box. :S
