Gearbox problems

Hi there, I've got a clio 172 and it's making quite a loud crunching noise when putting it into 2nd gear especially dropping it into 2nd gear from 3rd. Anyone else had problems with this?? Does it new a new gearbox? The cars in mint condition and done 70,000 miles so seems a shame to send it for breaking.

Sounds like syncro has shat itself.. buy a second hand for about £50-100 then get it rebuilt by Agency gearboxes (think that's the name, deffinitely agency something) Heard people say it's around £300.. could be wrong though.

Then just swap them over and sell your current box as is
