Gearbox Rebuild pics?

Hey foilks,

I remember reading a guide thread somewhere that shows the step by step guide with pics of a 172 box rebuild, I've done a search but can't seem to find it. Doe's anyone have some they can post on here?.

I'm wondering if its possible to change the detent for 3rd gear without taking the box out again!!.

I wanna change the 5th on mine, would be nice to get to 155mph with the 172 cup.

don't think changing 5th only would help. I think aerodynamics is a bigger factor at above 120
