gearbox refill

Just changed the gearbox oil on my 182, maybe it was slightly front end down but I only manage to get 2.7 litres back in it. Does that seem right, I realise the full 3.1 will never come out but I imagined I'd get more than that in

3.1L would be the box as a dry unit, so you'll never get all that out.

Was it level with the filling hole after you'd put 2.7L in?

Yeah I filled until it dribbled out just I was on a slight slope maybe 3"lower on the front as my drive isn't level. May just check it on my parents drive

You're best doing it on level ground mate, that should get you the .3L you need.

Well put it on dead level ground but no more went in, must not have got much out?
