is there any gearboxes that will go on the 172 !!
my mate had a 106 gti and he put the 1.3 rally gearbox on it an it was awesome!!
what about a deisel !!!

Diesel box is gunna give you taller ratios so seems strange lol as far as I'm aware unless your spending a lot of money then nope.

well a 1.3 gearbox one a 106 gti would give mental acceleration as a trade off for top speed... i'd imagine he wants to know if theres a similar gearbox swap for the clios.


i'd say no,, as the box designed for the car struggles with the power let alone from a smaller engined car

any JC5 box will fit - it just depends if you have an electronic speedo pick up or not.

could run one from a mk1 1.4 or something, think they only do about 75 in 3rd?

Wouldn't the gearbox die from the load. I picture the shafts all going to the wall.
