Gearstick really jolty when in idle

If I'm in idle with hand on gearstick, I can feel it really rattling. Infact, can sometimes feel it thru my seat!! Is this just sommit a service will find and fix?

Happens all the time. I just re-read my post and the rattling thru the seat isnt the gearbox, its the engine. It seems to rev up to about 1500 revs then back to 0 etc in idle.......

Is this normal?

some one i know had a problem with with one of his plugs on the electrical side. not sure what its called... maybe the air flow meter or the automatic idle.
