gearstick wobble :S

erm just a quick question, my gearstick is wobbling about alot. everytime i engage a gear it throws itself like it wants to jump out of gear! and when i accelerate it moves backwards and when i let off it moves forwards again. so was just wondering if anybody has had this problem and what causes it because it is very annoying. cheers

Gearbox mount or dogbone mount I would have said.

My clio doesn't do it

its normal, mine jumps/wobbles so much it changes gears for me

They are not supposed to wobble. There is something wrong if it moves allot. Probably an engine/gearbox mount needs replacing.

I have a 1.4 16v ph2 mate and mine used to wobble like crazy, got a 172 dogbone mount from renault (£25+ i think) and it feels so much nicer now.
