annoying clonk!

  Clio 182, saxo vtr
Hello chaps wondering if anyone has had the same problem as me. I have an extremely loud clonk coming from what i can only assume to be n/s suspension, The clonk occurs any time i press my brakes a bit harder, it feels almost like the whole n/s/f wheel is knocking forward, I have checked for play everywhere and bar a shock absorber that needs replacing there is nothing. The strange thing is, which also is making me think it is not the shock, is the fact that whenever it is wet out, The clink is not only worse but much less brake pressure is needed to make it happen, an to top it off, when wet if i tap my accelerator it also does it! Just wondering if anyone has had this same problem and found a fix. Thanks

What car is it Zoot? 182? Could be lower arm bushes, top mount, caliper loose, loose wheel, I've also had this happen with a worn CV joint but that was more of a big click.

Not sure why it would change with dry/wet though.
