geeks unite!! hotmail problem...

a mate at work has been locked out of her hotmail.

she is adamant she has the correct password but she just can't log in. when you go through to retrieve your password her secret question is ''who is your favourite teacher?'' but this wasn't the secret question she had set up...

sounds like to me she has been hacked...

she does use ebay and her hotmail is limked to that so i told her to check her ebay and see if that has been hacked...

can anyone advise of any way to regain access to her hotmail as sh can't seem to find any contact details for hotmail etc... i told her she was probably screwed and has lost all her emails etc and her contacts.

i'll let you all know how she gets on with the bay of E...

if it makes any difference she uses a mac laptop that is a few years old.

any help or suggestions?

Try that dude. It worked for Fudgey when he had similar problems a few weeks ago.

Spoof email from hotmail customer services, i always hover over dodgy links and they end up never lookin the same where the page loads and says done.

format the mac maybe? like completely format.
