Getting History From Dealers

Hi when I bought my Clio from a non Renault Dealer, it didn't come with history as it was 'lost' on their PC. Is there any way you could get a copy from Renault, as for a 5 year old car it's mint so someone must have cared for it!

All I have now is a receipt for £500 for the cambel and oil etc that the dealer did before I bought it!

sounds like they pulled a fast one, "LOST IT ON THE PC" my arse springs to mind

prob has no service history etc but i may be wrong

Sounded dodgy to me but it drives as it should, looks awesome..

Inspected under the car too and it was spot on!

Just want some history, Renault wouldn't give it me but maybe the dealer could it it for me?

They're not allowed, data protection mate. (previous customers details on it)

And why would a non renault dealer have service history on their computer??! What a load of s**t they fed you.

Is the previous owners details not on the V5 anyway? Could be worth a try from renault...

As you've taken the car already, there is nothing you can do about it.
I assume by no sh, you mean no old mot's as well ?

Nope nothing, i know it was BS but i really liked the car plus it's got a years warranty on it.

Whats the last owner on the log book? Try to contact them.
