Getting my sister into the clio craze

  clio 172
My sisters about to buy a clio 1.2 billabong.

Does anyone know of any problems they have that the garage wont be telling her?

60k miles, perfectly clean, 12 months MOT costing £2000. Is that a good price?

All help appreciated!

Cheers!

If it's from a garage she should have some comeback for repairs / warranty in the first few months/ year anyway..?

Always buy on condition not miles. Check anything you'd check on a 2.0 or any other car on the planet.

As for price - have you looked around and seen what else your £2k will buy, or how other identical cars are priced ?

To me personally that seems about £1000 over priced as you can buy a decent 172 for that - however you've not mentioned if it's a 2010 model or 2001 for example.

Is it her first car ? Have you checked insurance ? Lots of yoofs have them and therefore the insurance is probably higher than an Micra / Jazz / 7 series BMW.

As she's female it's probably almost free anyway...

Does she do many miles ? I'd rather a 1.5 dCi Clio for the same miles just as they're a lot nicer IMO.
