getting tax without logbook?

hello all,

i recently got my 172 but have not received my logbook through yet from the dvla in my name. my tax is due at the end of the month, so can i just use my new keeper document (the small green slip) to get my tax with at the post office?

You should have your logbook back by the time July comes.

so even if i do it online it will be ok even if it technically isnt registered in my name?

yes, itl be ok all they check is the car has insurance and a valid MOT (they check thorugh their database now) then car is automaticly taxed even though you dont have a tax in the window

You can tax it with the green slip, no probs.

12 months is for like £210 isnt it?

Yep, can use the new keepers supplement. You can use local post office, or the local dvla office is around the back of broad st.
