Gave his car a good clean with various products. Took me about 4 hours! Just a few pics.

See what you think

What you wax it with mate, looks great.

Poorbopys blackhole before wax looks amazing on black for future reference. :)

i used R222. Wouldn't normally use this on black but it all i have as my 172 was iceburg which worked great. I did polish it with srp, sealed with werkstatt and used zaino Z8 which works wonders on black!

so when would i use poorboys? is it like either wash srp, sealant, wax or i could use the process wash, poorboys blackhole then go straight to wax

After srp mate, it has fillers also to mask light swirls similar to SRP without the abrahsives.

Call it a glaze before wax, looks amazing on all blacks/dark colours.

nice might purchase some and see how it goes. I don't need to seal after the blackhole then? Going to get collinites 476 as I have read its more durable than r222 or p21's as it used to be called.

I use it on the BM. It is indeed a great glaze.

Rule of thumb hasn't changed.

Compounding polish and cutting pad
Glaze and finishing pad
Sealant and finishing pad
Wax via applicator.

It does need protected Christophe.

476 is awesome for durability but it's petroleum based iirc (Ali abused me once before)

There are better waxes for black cars out there but it would be minimum difference.

Fire the 476 over the blackhole and see the difference. If you can afford something better wax wise, try it. Maybe Dodo Juice.

I was discussing this yesterday and unless the paintwork is nice then polishing is advised.

And needed if you are claying at all.

Yeah i do read i won't see much difference between waxes. Not sure how i feel about petroleum waxes. then again i never used one lol. might have to look more into the wax stage

Depends how much you want a good finish but as always it's in the prep work.

Most waxes only come out on top for durability and ease of use before looks because somethimes it's minimal.

TBH, i barely touch my car now a days. I did a full detail late last yr. And since then it's only been glazed ones and waxed a couple of times. Still looks A+ However i'd like to give it another run over with the Rotary. Time is the issue.

Pc'ing is very time consuming if you use your car aswell! Can't leave it in the garage until the next day!

1 pc a year is more than enough if you keep on top of the washing and waxing side of things tho.

Black always comes up well, nice job.

I quite like these too, wanted my dad to get one. Particularly like the handbrake design :)
