Girlfriends New Car - Pics

After waiting a whole 10 weeks, I finally took delivery of my girlfriends new car this lunchtime.

Completely standard, out of the box 197 Cup in Racing Blue.
14 Miles on the clock, and will tell her to take it easy for a bit before giving it some death.

Surprisingly better in the flesh than I anticipated...new Alpine IDA-X001 already fitted, and a trip to K-Tec for some H&R springs may well be in order this weekend:red:

Considered blanking the reg out, but its insured. If someone wants it, they will take it.

I have company cars to drive about in. This is her everyday car that replaced her previous one.
I work in the motor industry and have a relationship with the dealership that supplied it, hence why I collected it. I am insured to drive it, so occasionally I will head out in it. I hope that answers yours confusion?

Mrbillyuk - Coming from a Punto Sporting to this is a fair jump I would say. Would rather she learned the car before driving it hard.

For the money I paid,the time we are likely to keep it and bearing in mind whio is driving it daily - Spec'ing one would have been wasted money.

Like to know where you got that from. Cup set up is 7mm lower than standard. H&R springs are approx 30mm lower on a standard car. So even my basic maths puts that @ around 23mm lower thn a Cup set up . Also LOL at the previous quote about the Cup being the best there is. I remember back in the day people saying that about the 172 Cup. My 197 runs H&R coilovers. Ride is still supple, imo is only a fraction stiffer than the standard set up, VERY impressive. You get what you pay for

Oh and i like that colour and spec, i think the bump strips look OK imo.
