Dan, do you mean Auto Glym EGP (Extra Gloss Protection)???
If so you should wash, polish (AG SRP is best for EGP), then EGP, then wax if you want.

Yeah did that at the weekend - wash, clay, swirl remover, SRP, EPG, wax. But i'm looking for a bit more shine lol

Wash, clay, Polish/compound, Glaze, Seal, Wax... Heypresto!
Glaze is a non cuttin polish, i use cherry wet glaze from CG, had great results on a number of owners cars.

2. Glaze and Seal - can be done in one step or too, glazes will deepen and wetten the shine and most will further fill and hide the swirl marks. Sealents protect the shine and seal in the fillers, as they can be washed away very easily. For light colours I find Clearkote Vanilla Moose Wax Hand Glaze works very well, followed by Poorboys EX-P sealent. Apply the Clearcoat in circular motions first with medium pressure then finish in a fore and aft motion. Work on small areas at a time and remove residue straight away. For the Poorboys EX-P apply to paint and leave for an hour to cure and then remove. For dark colours I prefer the single step of Meguiars NXT Tech Wax which is a glaze/sealent combined - apply to whole car, leave for an hour to cure and then remove. Repeat this step 24hrs later for additional coverage which helps to ensure even coverage.

The traditional use of a Glaze is before a wax. It can be used before some sealants but will kill there durability and in most cases the sealant won't bond at all. You can't use one before EGP. A glaze does not replace the polish, sealant or wax. Stand alone added step which basically is you adding lots of oils onto the paint surface. In a true sense there useage is to provide shine and gloss just for a show offering no protection just gloss.
If you want to introduce a glaze into the AG SRP and EGP regime one can be used after a the sealant/EGP before waxing. You choice here is imprtant as a true glaze is polish/cleaner free but there are lots that are not, Clearkote Vanilla Moose Hand Glaze is not pure as it contains cleaners. So in my situation with a fairly new car and decent paint that is well polished the glaze step is pointless when the time/products could be used better in the polishing and waxing phases i.e. extra coats??

Agree, i always apply glaze and wax on/off by hand. PC only for polishin.

Aye, it was between that and the victoria concours in the end, the saphir was just a little too pricely for me.
