or pretensioner or computer if you plan on keeping it from the rest of it's life, especially as a track weapon.

Sort it yourself mate with 2nd hand/spare parts. Use scrapyards well! It'll probably work out cheaper in the long run considering excess, rise in your premium, loss of no claims, resale value etc etc.

you dont need the seat mate... get the cover re stitched and get a new side airbag off any Mk2 clio.

As a side issue the wheel may well be buckled so get that checked.

Oh I can do that can I? Cheers Ad for that! I'll get the wheel chck as well.

Just an update on the insurance side of things. They said if i dont go through with their repairs I wont loose my 4 years no claims in 2 weeks. :star: :star:

do it all yourslef mate it's not a difficult job the rear beam comes off pretty easily, most cars in scrap yards are front end smashes so a new one will be easy to get, might be worth getting a new / second hand rear damper too as yours may be bent / damaged but you should be able to get that with the beam no problem.

i'd buy a new alloy though as there may be hairline cracks in the one that got twatted which may have weakened it up and will only need a pothole to shatter it, (especially if it's a cheaper brand of alloy wheel)

dont forget once it's all on the road to have the alignment checked over shouldn't cost more than £30 to have 4 wheel alignment done.

if it's just the seat airbag get an upholsterer to sew it back up it's up to you if you get a new airbag put in but if you dont you'll need a resistor to fool the ecu into thinking it's got one in there.

shouldn't cost nay more than £500 -£600 to get it all on the road again which i bet is cheaper than your excess.

one word of warnign though get your car out of the recovery place asap as they charge mega money for insurance storage

as i said it might need to be done depends how badly u twatted the curb would only be able to say by looking at the car, if you're buying a rear beam from a scrap yard u'll more than likely be able grab the shocks too as they're all bolted onto it. most of what people have put up on here is true but without seeing the car etc you can never tell exactly what is needed.

yeah basically the rear suspension is a c shaped section which wil be the bit thats buggered drop that 1 off bolt a new one on, swap brakes and everythign off one onto the other.
