double check it has, the trader i got my '02' plate from said he wouldn't recomend changing them till 72k, regardles of age.

Definitely make sure the cam belt has been done recently.

Looks like an ok example, the wheels look very kerbed!

The reason i'm saying that is some 172's are imports from hOLLAND AND cYPRUS AND THE ONE YOUR AWAY TO LOOK AT MAY BE AS WELL AS IT HAS NO STICKERS on the front side windows about the Renault Security Register, which the uk cars have.

The uk cars also have numbers etched onto the windows and the imports don't.

And check to see if it has an alarm or not, as the imports had an aftermarket alarm fitted and the led is down beside the gearstick on the centre console bit (i think).

Imports won't have an alarm as standard, the UK ones have the alarm LED down by the gearstick and its a renault customised cobra.

right just been, walked away straight away, got there he had the engin running (was told thats a bad sign) there wasnt a pannel that didnt have a scratch on it. steering wheel was messed up. seats were crap. and the engin sounded very strange. so went to look at a 182 cup looks fantastic lol

That's not right at all, esp round the head light. It still has the black stickers on the bumper though, so it's not had a new bumper on it (unless they replced the stickers too of course)
