Gonna sound weird, but true....

  Golf MK7,GSX-R600 L4
... does anyone else feel that sometimes their car is a hell of a lot more responsive and quicker on some drives??? This morning i drove to the bank, everything felt normal ..... then when i get back in the car and drive off it feels like an absolute beast ...?? seriously pulling much more in every gear..... there was temp change from 5 degrees to 6 before and after...... could 6 degrees C be the optimum outside air temp??? Wish it felt like that all the time tbh

  Octy vRS & Ninja 650
Yup. Sometimes it feels bog slow, like it did last night, other times, even in the same day, it feels like a beast

  1.8 Civic EX
generally feels better just after filling up with petrol for some reason but yes your right it does have it's moments..

  MKIII 138
tell you what remembering back to my cliosport owning days 6deg was perfect and the fastest, im sure the engine is better at specific temp even if its just a reading to the ECU and there is only a minimal temp difference.

but yea some times varys, pretty much same in the meg although less pronounced

Very true, once the car is up to temp then it'll like the colder weather, your compression ratio is higher because of the denser air.
My MX5 used to be like this especially on dry frosty mornings.
I think you notice it even more when you use the car regulary, I dont tend to do much mileage in the clio these days so it's harder for me to tell if it's having a good one.

  172 Cup
Mine feels slow in the morn on the way to work and fast on the way home, maybe be something to do with my foot though!! I do get the occasional feeling that yes the car isnt on the blob and actually is putting out its best for me, agreed!!

  RB 182
Yep.

My VTR used to aswel, some days it was just a 1.6, other days it felt like a fast as fark 1.6 gokart!!

  Clio 172
I've found my ST and Zetec-S were like this regardless of weather, how long the engine has been running, fuel etc. Some days good, some days bad! Cheap engines I guess, got buy a BMW or Jag for consistency!

THE JOYS OF A RENAULT MY FRIEND!

yep same here, sometimes never pulls in any gear then others it flies through them...

also, ive noticed over the past few weeks, BP's petrol makes my car run rough as f**k with a really loud tickover, and with shells it runs real smooth, same with some other brands too, really wierd..

  Saxo VTS
Yeah deffo found this on the RT and Valver. Rainy days she usualy didn't like and warm days she hated. But then anything under 10c and dry she loved it. And as for sub zero...well, she really loved that :p

  Saab 93 Aero Wagon
Ironically the best my car runs is when its foggy....nice dense cold air....just a shame you can't drive at any sodding speed.

My best runs are around about the midnight mark.
Im convinced my Cup has a Jekyll and Hyde complex.
In daylight hours its grumbly, rattly, knocky, has moments of goddamn pigginess, the lot.
Come the night and particulary the witching hour its an absolute raving lunatic of a car.
I can put up with it during the day just to have it come to life at night.:D
