Good price for repairs?

Starting a new thread for the cost of repairing the clio.

Just spoke to a guy on the phone, he has the front driver side wing in silver... he wants 25 + postage.

Is this a good price? did they only do my car in one silver colour? (i dont want it looking a different shade!). Also whats the best way to arrange delivery / postage?

it will probably be a different shade, you will never find a replacement panel a perfect colour match, but seems a good price and you may find the colour match is reasonable, just be prepared to get it resprayed... from your other thread i could see the scratches etc. just depends on what your wanting to do, if your getting the scratches etc sprayed they will need to blow paint into the wing anyway....

Thanks, but atm im refering to the plastic driver side wing because that definately needs replacing!

Cars fade stuff like that really every car has its own colour

different paint batches, more exposure to elements in the air etc etc... don't expect it to match perfectly...

Bumpppage. Just a little update for anyone who cares...

Got hold of the wing that needed fixing, from a place in luton brand new primed for about £17.99! Bargain I say! A mate of my dads is coming over next weekend to get get the paint and spray it himself as he has sprayed a few cars before.

If anyone remembers the original post of the damage (http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?t=210704) youll remember all the little scratches. Fortunately these have come out with a lot of polishing with some of that Scratch-X stuff.

Also the wheel was straightened out and a new tyre fitted.

Now, 2 things Remain...

1 - Some deep scrartches on the bodywork near the bottom right side of the wingscreen

and

2 - This dent! Its annoying me sooo much, especially now in the good weather it seems to be a lot more obvious... you can spot it a mile off!

Will i need a new door? Or is there a company that could get this dent out? If so, what kind of price am i looking at?

your looking that bodyshop will pull most of it out.. grind it down.. probs skim over with filler then paint.. there is no way you should replace the door....

if they quote you on painting a door then probs not much extra.. just tell them it has a deep scratch thats put a ridge in the door skin... for a perfect match they will need to blend it into the next panel though...

hmm sounds pricey, id rather spend the money on alloys atm...
