got a slow puncture..

I noticed my tyre was half flat a few weeks ago and ive been having to pump it every 4-5 days...its fine when ive pumped it but then it gradually goes back under 10 psi after a few days - i think it was when i whacked a curb cos some idiot white van driver came steaming through my priority lane

Im just wondering what to do - have it totally replaced or have the puncture fixed (if they can)?

I'll have to go with 205/45 Exalto pilot's as that what all the tyres are on mine - any advice on what to do? Are independant garages cheaper at replacing & fitting tyres? ive heard that kwik fit are a load of cowboys - they damaged my mates car when he had his done...

they can fix punctures for about £10-20. i never go to places like kwick fit as they rip u off. indi garages are ok. or buy the tyres yourself from places like camskill, mytyres, black circles then just pay £10 for fitting.

Cheers mate,does it matter what kind of puncture it is depending on if they can can fix it or not?

I know that for a new Exalto its gonna be over £100 at most places..

If its in the sidewall you've no chance of having it fixed . Most punctures are usually repairable . Like millerlight says , justgo to a small independant tyre place . It's round about 8 quid .

i dont know to much about it but ive had four punctures over the years. 3 have been fixed the last one needed a new tyre.

although i think its more a case of, if they can be botherd to fix it or sell you a new tyre.

etyres do you tyre for about £100 fitted.

blackcircles and mytres sell for about 85 + fitting.

get it fixed soon as poss mate i had the same problem went to pump it up at garage the other night and it wouldnt turns out it had shredded the inside of the tyre as when i pulled the tyre of to change it my hand went through the tyre lol 1 exalto ruined!
