Got bored earlier, so..

decided to take this wee mofo off and start polishing it up.

now im regretting it as im going to have to finish it!

need to get some more wet and dry tomorow, flat it all down then take it round to my mate who has a buffer wheel on a bench grinder in his garage.

its ok at first, then gets rapidly boring!

what grade paper did you use? the roughest i could find in my garage is 200, needs something more coarse though i think to start off with.

  Valver..
hate them jobs... wen u start it u gotta finish it!!! looks smart thou mate and wens its dont it will be worth while!! :D

i started mine with 40 grit oxide paper - halfords do a really good selection. I think I went a bit over the top mind - I used about 8 different grades in total - looks cool now though - could still be shinier though so may have to get a buffing wheel

tonights progress

got some more paper, used 80 grit on the bad bits, bit of 240 on the other bits, bit of 400, then 800, some 1200 then some autosol on just the centre piece. here's how it is so far, gonna need to use plenty more autosol on it though, may take it to my mates and use his buffer wheel.
