Got mine today and just one question

  Clio 182 FF
So I bought my missis a 182 today FF 05-reg, so far very pleased with it, nicely kept example.

Cruise Control, green light on on dash board, press the + button and nothing happens.

Im either doing it wrong or its broke, I managed to do it once on the test drive but cant get it to do it again since, maybe a faulty button or im being stupid.

Thanks in advance :D

Yes the button near my right knee is pushed upwards to show the green cruise button in dash board

Perfect time to test it is getting onto a motorway hit the switch and tap the button on the steering wheel let go of the throttle and you should be onto a winner.

Do you have anything come up on the dash or does it just say "Set ---" ?

I've noticed if you're at a too low speed (i think under 20mph) you can't set it!

Yeah just says "set-----" tap or hold the + button and nothing

Strange how it would work once but I noticed when it did work you couldnt increase or deincrease speed with the + / - buttons

Could the button be broke?

Have you tried getting upto speed and clicking the other 3 buttons as well? Also does the speed limiter work? Are you able to change the limited speed with the +/- buttons?

Other 3 buttons have no effect, also the speed limiter doesnt work

Can get a set of buttons for £16 from a clio breaker, might give this ago.

How do I get the airbag cover off to change them

Do you know anyone else with a Clio with cruise control?
I'd try a different steering wheel first before parting with any cash so you can determine whether it is the steering wheel or something else that is at fault.
You could end up chasing the problem and spending a lot of cash.

It could be a brake switch, clutch switch, steering wheel cruise loom (doubtful) or the squib ring. If it's not one of these then it could be other wiring issues or maybe a problem with the ECU?

I'd be testing the brake/cruise switches first, then changing the squib ring (think I paid £25 for mine at a breakers when my last 182 had this fault).
