  C63 AMG, F430 & 172
rapid! lol

car is mint, but when i hammer it in 1st engine sounds like a machine gun coming from the right hand side (drivers side). sounds like wheels are skipping on the right, i knw the mounts are sh*t but i cant move the mount with my hand no matter how much i rock it!

what is it?

Check the drive shafts for holes and damgae. Might be the drivers side mount see how the engine is located in the cover (just take a picture and I'll try and explain it). Omars engine mount modification seems to be very good I recon that along with soem polyrubber would make it realy tight along with a new bottom mount. How may miles has the car got the mounts will wear with age.

You talking it to Donnington?

If it's a MK1 - I replaced the suspension rubber tops too many times. It fixes it for about 1500 miles then starts to come back.

The tops are the bits that fit between the top of the suspension and where it fits through the body, they're like to cone shape bits of rubber. I originally got a dealer in Harlow to sort them, then met up with Mr Fish, who gave me the heads up about them.

You have to remember that the 172/182's are the devils go-nads. Abuse them and expect a little noise!

Laters.
