1 10mm nut down each of these

use a socket, small extension, and small ratchet to get in there.

i wouldnt do it for 50 quid let alone a fiver!

LOL yeah I know, I remember you posting about doing it, or someone else anyway, takes a lot of bloody hard work. Wish I had the time to do it as it looks beautiful.

Did you just use sand paper or something else?

Looks mint!!! Did ya sand it down with sand paper first then use the polish to bring it up shiney??? Let us know cos i wanna do mine!

Cheers, Jaff

aluminium oxide paper 40/80 grit

then wet n dry for ages

200,400,800,1200,1500

then autosol metal polish

then that brilliant metal polish

the autosol gets it good enough though to be honest.

Looks good mate :)

Did you spray the engine cover yourself ? Where did you get the 2.0 and 16v stickers from ??

took the cover to local bodyshop - spraybay racepaint

they painted it, cut the 2.0 16v out of vinyl, stuck it on, then laquered over it all

so the stickers wont peel off when i polish it :)

cost me 40 quid :)
