Got the '4500rpm' rattle fixed...

Got my exhaust rattle fixed last week - peace at last. lol
Had the central section replaced under warranty so happy about that.
I assume it is the centre section of teh exhaust on 172s that usually goes?

Yup. Don't get too used to it - mine was starting to go again after 6 months.... Backbox was also on the way out.

Bit the bullet and got a stainless jobby from Prospeed. No rattle, better idle for some reason and doesn't sound like a ticking bomb when cooling down. lol.

heh. I thought that was relly strange when I first got my 172, but I guess I've gotten used to it now...

Thanks for clearing that up for me.. i've been hearing that 'ticking bomb' sound since having my 172 lol
