Great Tyre Mileage!

Car  182ff/EscortCosworth
I've just replaced the Tyres (Michelin Exalto 2's) on my wife's 55 plate 182, on the front were the Original Rears, so they were good for almost 7 years & 56K miles....
Hope these Pilot Sport 3's are as good.:D

Tyre are usually only rated for 5 years - id not want to be driving on older ones, I see to many blow outs caused by that!

Still on the mileage front, thats pretty good going!

I used to get 5000 road miles out my Eagle F1's :o

PE2 - oustanding tyre IMO. That's a hell of a lot of miles though, driven gently for all of them?

Russ, my Eagles were nearly as bad, cheap at the time and loads of grip in the dry but such a soft compound!

My dad has a pair on the rear of his Golf, still have 5mm after 50,000 miles lol! Think his fronts went after about 35/40,000 miles.

I'm still on my original PE2's all round (7.5 yrs old) but low mileage (19k) - shed loads of tread left and no cracks

Front pe2s seem to do me about 15k - no idea how those have lasted so long.

I've had my pilot sport 3's on my car for 45,000 now and they are just nearing the limit.

They've never let me down once. :D

My front PE2s lasted about 20-21K for the 1st pair. Now the car is on 57K and the fronts are now on Hankook,s, 3rd pair. My rears are the originals.
