grey valvers

  172 exclusive no 172

Hi there everyone,

just wondering how many of you there have metallic grey valvers????

Been to shows in the past and doesnt seem to be that many about.. i have one and i only know of 1 other on the site.

usually they are white, naples red, Williams blue or green ??

williams blue is a popular colour for obvious reasons but theres not that many different colour valvers about. mines naples red and ive only ever seen a couple in the past 12mths. I do like silver and white though..

Ive got a pearlescent black one. Not common, but not as rare as Brooklands Green.

Apart from the Sports Blue, there isnt an obvious colour for the 16v and they seem to come in all sorts.

  Clio Williams 1, 182,197

Brooklands green is buy far the rarest colour, then its gotta be the tungsten grey.

They do look lovely in the tungsten grey or was it xerus grey mmmmmmmm cant remember though, but maybe thats coz you dont see many off em !!

I put 2 flyers on it for good measure a couple of weeks ago but theyve not got this far. The car does look good in that colour but its been spoiled with stickering on the doors & other cruise related bits....

  Willy2

Ben j there is one around wembley so thats two plus yours three, I have a grey valver and i thought they were rare until some bloke who lives local to me has one in phase 2, then i went down the ace cafe and saw another one, also paul mitchell is breaking one at the mo, saw one in Hammersmith, so they are not that rare and rich16v has one too which looks wicked! Mines the only one i have seen with gold willy wheels and it dont look that bad!

  Was a Clio 1.8 16v

The tungy grey Valvers look good with the original phase 2 alloys on IMO cause they are an identical colour to the car.

Any 1 hear with the grey 16v who i raced in Stockport multi-story?

Aaron - no, they didnt make bronze Valvers, it was just an option on lower spec Clios on late H-plates.

My mate has a Tungsten Grey 16v - its a K-reg Phase1.

Xerus Grey replaced Tungy Grey when it came to Phase2 (my old Clio was a Xerus Grey Phase2).

Hope I never see another 16v the same colour as mine!! Tungy grey is such a wicked 16v colour, I have seen a fully smoothed one in tungy grey it looked spanking!!

Yeah, if I could have found a Xerus Grey Phase2 with leather then Id have had it. As it was, the only decent one with leather I saw was a pearlescent black one - which I bought!

NEVER seen 1 other phase 2 pearlescent black other than clean16vs!

Ive only ever seen 1 Xerus grey Valver too. Never seen a green 1 & to be honest i think there is a reason for them being very rare!
