Grooved Discs E-bay

I personally wouldnt.

Grooves make an annoying noise.

And modern brake pads work on a transfer layer between pad and depositied pad material on the disc, and bonds are constanly broken between them which gives you your braking force. Running a sharp leading edge is constantly shaving your brake pads, ruining any 'cured' brake surface and weaking them out prematurely.

if you use grooved discs with good pads I have found you strip the grooves out of the inside of the discs.

Best discs I have found have been the brembo HC's - good performance & economical.

Agree with the groove statement i had to change the AP's grooved dics on the front of the first EVO i had as you could get a set of Ferrodo 4003F to wear down in an afternoon..! Went back to plain discs and they lasted ages...well 4k.

They are cheep though - ebay discs that is.

it is entirely relevant sherlock.

They are the cheapest shittyiest discs going, then he cuts some groves in em....

i had them on my 206 and they have really bad habit of warping v quickly and the constant sqealinging and genral noise under braking is crap :(

I've never gone for any of that stuff... (fancy discs on my car);

BUT all my motorbikes have had drilled discs (proper ones, not counter-sunk home DIY jobbies), and they've never ever given me problems....

(not that I want any), but wouldn't they be lighter than std discs? ;)
