Hello, i'm wondering how loud are group A exhausts (63 mm) - like Oreca, OMP on a sport 172...the difference in loudness with original cat and with a de-cat?

I could be wrong, I don't think Group A exhausts exist.

Group N on the other hand are f***ing loud.

Admittedly this is a 197, but search Youtube for more vids.

my group N was 107db drive by, and 101db static

Group N are cca 55 mm, Group A are 63 mm...Ben was your system with cat or de-cat?
How much db can a kat "kill" on this kind of a racing exhaust?

my exhaust is off a cup racer and its 63mm, or the u clamps are 64mm anyway. and its pretty loud.

obviously video camera doesnt pick up loudness, and this was with a centre silencer in, now its out its louder.



i must get a new exhaust video

group N my mates evo its 112 dB or something. the pipe is ridiculously big, ill try get a video

ok, thknx to all...but will there be a flat spot in the lower revs if i fit the whole gr. A system on the standard 4-1 manifold (decat pipe - middle pipe - backbox)?

Fail on my behalf, I meant as an off the shelf product for the Clio. Like I say though, could be wrong.

Does anyone know of a supplier, or are they fabbed to fit?
