Group buying.

I have noticed a few group buys in which the organiser swings a deal for a bulk buy of products.

My question is, does anyone fancy buying Lidatek Laser Diffusers ?? They're one of the most expensive on the market, but are by far the most advance, I'm sure if about 10 of you are interested I can contact a dealer on discounts.

I think the starting price is £300 for the LE-30 with 1 diffuser (for front), with additional diffusers at £200 each (you can install up to 3 using the same circuit, though 2 is enough for a Clio).

Anyone interested please post here.:star:

I wouldn't bother with these laser diffusers anymore, as people are starting to get done for having them fitted.. I sold my Blinder kit at the end of last year.

As for what they do, they block any incoming signal from a speedgun/trap, so now when this happens the cops are pulling you over to check for laser jammers..and you could be charged with perverting the court of justice.

fook that!!!

You big bunch of girls.

As for the legal side of this, I'm active on other forums for that so won't go into it. But they're perfectly legal to have fitted, HOWEVER, there is a legislation that the kind government is trying to pass that will render diffusers (like the one I have mentioned) along with radar detectors, and anything that receives a signal from the equiptment that's being used illegal to own as they "prevent the policeman from doing his job"

And as for getting fined now with them, I would persue this as they cannot prosecute without evidence that it was being used, i.e. a confession:sleepy: or video footage inside your car....

Besides, if you do the job properly, you can bury them so that you wouldn't know it was there unless you took the front end to pieces bit by bit. The only piece of kit on the inside of the car of the Lidatek is a switch with an LED. Very descreet for use in countries where it is indeed illegal.

I was driving through france a few years back with my cousin and my dad. My cousin called us to let us know that he had been taken to a service stop by an officer and had the radar detector he had in his car confescated, along with a fine of 1000euros. Nice. I heard if they had proof he was using it (if he didn't unplug it when they stopped him) then it would have been 2000. Either way, laser is becoming more popular and unless you like driving at 70 on open, straight roads, then this comes in very useful.

You just need to remember that you have 5 seconds to slow down:rasp:

Anyway, I'll probably be coming to FCS with some friends, so if you want to see a rather sporting young diesel getting away with 120mph then see you there

How's that, if you mean they'll be doing 130, go for it, let's look in the local news paper and find a speed trap site, and then go racing past it. Let's see who jams on their brakes first :dead: (it won't be me ;) )

by the time you reach 120, he will have already hit 130, slowed down, went past the camera and be on his way;)
