i've removed the rear plastic insert on my bumper, i upgraded to the mk2ph2 bumper and had it off for painting but didn't bother colour coding any of the rest of the car so their was no point painting the bump strip on the back, what you need to do it 'shimmy' it out, there's plastic lugs all along the strip and you need to push them outwards and also pull at the bump strip at the same time, it's easier with a flat head screw driver, make sure you don't snap a clip though.

easy enough but gives you bloody sore fingers!

the fronts are easy, just have to pull them out snd i think there might be a little clip. The backs are a pain in the arse and so hard to get out, i took my bumper off for colour coding

I would like to know the easiest way to remove these!! Had a go earlier and then gave up! just finished colour coding the door strips so might do the bumpers if I have the energy next weekend! its the sanding them all down smooth by hand thats the killer! does anyone else sand them down or is there a better way to get around this?

Cheers
Ross
