Gutted..

Driving home from work tonight and noticed that theres a big crack in my windscreen....!

its behind the mirror surroud / sensor and runs at an angle to the top of the windscreen. So i call up my renault dealer only for them to say they dont think its covered under the warranty ??? WTF ? only had the car 2 months!

id know if something would have hit the screen whilst ive been driving - my only concern is that ive lowered the car 60mm. will this invalidate my warranty ?

any suggestions ?

just claim it on your insurance, probaby cost you £50 max and it wont affect your NCB

Would Renault try to suggest that the suspension is now too rigid, and that excess vibration may have lead to the screen becoming weakend?

If you do have one of those windscreen insurance policies I would use it rather than bring the lowering to Renaults attention any sooner.

PS.

Have you informed your insurance company about the lowering?

As long as your fully comp you will automatically have windscreen cover. Normally £50 excess and doesnt affect your NCB.

To be honest I wouldnt even bother with Renault. Can you be bothered with all there sh1t for the sake of £50.
