1) Don't be daft the bumpstops are there for a reason leave them in unless you want to have a nasty accident.
2) By spring holder I take it you mean the lower rubber spring pad. I wouldnt personally as the spring is shorter than the OE one. Removing the adjustor completely may cause the spring to be prone to popping out if the rear becomes unloaded.
It will get it lower but it wont be safe to run it like that. Speak to someone about custom springs if you want to lower the rear. Fred if he still has any involvement with Yozzasport, or someone like curtis at powerstation in tewkesbury who deals with AST suspension.
Cable ties can snap quite easily plus you would only be securing it to the trailing arm so the potential for it to unseat itself at the top is still there. Either put your hand in your pocket and get some custom springs made or live with it being at that height. Pikey mods are a bad move.
At the moment you've got the adjustor fitted. By removing it you are increasing the gap the spring has to fill by around an inch at a guess. Thats a large tolerance when the length of the spring remains the same. I'm getting the impression you're struggling to see what I'm getting at.
No i totally get what you are getting at, just i can't see it being that bad of a mod as the risks of the springs becoming unseated are already possible.

No, i totally get what you are getting at. Just i can't see it being that bad of a mod as the risks of the springs becoming unseated are already there with the current set up. Aslong as when the car is fully jacked up at the rear with the axle dropped and the spring is still sitting correctly with no play then it should be all good.
Depends on how much more he's looking to drop but it could accelerate wear and cause the ride to change as a result of the damper being right at the extreme of it's travel all the time. Then there's the chance he'll be sat on the bumpstops most of the time which wont be a good move on the handling front either.
