H&R's setup right...

Caried on from my other thread in for sale, here are pics of my H&R's, need people to tell me if they look correct. Was hard as no instructions in english, actually any at all

look fine, the gap between the top hat and the rubber dohnut will disapear when the springs load. did you ensure the shocks had the same ammount of threads showing? oh and you need to transfer the abs sensor wire 'holder' from the old shocks to the new ones chances are if it isnt held in place a tyre will catch it

Yup very true, On the gaz there was nowhere to swap it over to so i had to use cable ties

he's put the lower hub bolts back in the wrong way round (no biggie)

can't say without seeing the top mount assembley

sounds like you need to a trip to fred mate, or get h&r to send you instructions. I don't mind helping you.

make sure the camber is adjusted, no need for dodgy camber bolts either. find someone with a clue and it's possible.

He's not cheap, but then again he is the best, and you pay for what you get.

Give him a call, he's fitted loads of H&R's/Leda's etc.

Fitting is pretty straight forward tbh. I'd be inclined just to get him to set them up to save a bit of cash.

Anyone with HR's wanna check to see if their setup is the same as mine. Woried that the plastic spacer between the 2 springs should not be there.

Also did HR's come setup ready to fit? Ie just no spacers to take out etc?

Is the HR's really just a little harder than standard??

If the car hits uneven road on a corner, it jumps out. Back holds once touches down, doesnt feel sketchy, but im sure it shouldn't be this hard.

Rear is all the way down thou, ie not using the adj, which I wanna change.

you dont have the rear adjuster fitted? surely you need that or the spring will just fall out.

Na, it's fitted but the spring is on the platform, so maximum drop, I think. All new to me lol

mate, these sound fine, remember they wont ride llike o.e they are coilovers after all
