H/U cutting out

What would cause this? Mate has a problem with it. Everytime his headunit (kenwood) is turned past 22 it seems to break power then turn itself back on. Tried my headunit, still does it. He has a parrott hands free kit, sub+amp

soz about the hazy info not sure on the models :eek:

any help would be greatful

My Sony headunit was doing this the other day when the engine was off, I think my subs were taking too much current from the battery and not leaving enough for the headunit to run.
My A-Level Physics knowledge tells me a capicator might help.

check the earth point see if it's a good earth. make sure its metal to metal not painted.

Same for Sony

What exactly do you mean by a capacitor? If it's one of those power cap things - don't even consider - they are as much use as a chocolate kettle.
