Any news on this? Release dates, platforms etc? I dusted off the orange box to show a mate and got hooked back in to playing it again the other day. I'd sooner effort was put into getting this out than Left 4 Dead or any sequels (assuming it's the same team responsible)

Next year I believe. PC and 360 only at the moment. Valve have said it won't be coming to the PS3.

Valve time? Or real life time? Valve time is about 1 year. Real life is about 5 years. We've been waiting for nearly 3 years!

f**k Left 4 Dead. Half-Life is where it's at.

Don't get me wrong. HL is an excellent series with a superb structure and graphics and audio to boot.

However, I think Left 4 Dead is superb. It's a great brain-dead exercise that you can fire up for 30mins - waste hordes of the undead and then switch it off. It's the closest game currently (on the PC platform) that has echoes of the original Doom to it - and look how popular that was.

Half-Life is brilliant. But occassionally, I don't need/want an in-depth storyline with a little bit of puzzle solving thrown in. I just want to go all Vasquez on their ass instead.
