hand brake sticking

If left for more than 3-days, I find that my hand brake sticks. I removed the drums and you could clearly see a groove that has been cut by the shoes pressing against the inner surface. Will grinding the groove out solve the problem or do I just need to replace the drums? Tapping the drums lightly with a hammer seems to solve the problem, but that's hardly an ideal fix.

Jsut replace the drums there cheap and for the risk just do it.

Sounds like the drums etc need a good clean though to stop them stcking also check the shoes are ain a good condition as they can fail a lot.
